Filipa Alfama nasceu em Lisboa, em 1996. É artista plástica e expressa-se através da instalação, fotografia, vídeo e desenho. O seu trabalho tem como principal tema a relação entre humano, ecossistema e espiritualidade.

Nos últimos anos, tem-se focado na instalação e usa a sombra como um dos principais elementos do seu trabalho, explorando a relação da sombra com o corpo, o espaço e a cultura humana desde os seus primórdios.

Convoca forças primordiais não só através das sombras, mas também através dos objetos naturais que encontra e transforma, dos tons terra, das formas orgânicas e místicas, e das referências da arte bruta, naïf e paleolítica que transporta para as suas obras.

Filipa Alfama was born in Lisbon in 1996. She is a visual artist who expresses herself through installation, photography, video and drawing. Her work focuses on the relationship between humans, ecosystems and spirituality.

In recent years, she has focused on installation and uses shadow as one of the main elements of her work, exploring the relationship of shadow with the body, the space and the human culture since its beginnings.

This primordial forces are present not only through shadows, but also through the natural objects she finds and transforms, the earthy tones, the organic and mystical forms, and the references of raw, naïve and Paleolithic art that she brings to her works.
